How do I volunteer?
It’s as easy as one, two, three:
1. View the Volunteer Vacancies list on the 'Find Positions' page
2. Pick up the phone & make an appointment on 5526 0688
3. Download the Application Form - fill it in - then come in to discuss your volunteering options
Appointment locations are in the following areas:
- Surfers Paradise
- Palm Beach
- Biggera Waters
- Nerang
- Mermaid Beach
- Varsity Lakes Bond University (students only)
Trained volunteer staff at the centre meet people who are interested in volunteering, taking into account each volunteer’s interests, skills, and motives. These are matched with the needs of the organisations registered with us.
A few Tips and Tricks:
• Before you come in for an appointment, download and fill out the Volunteer Application Form to speed up the process. Please bring the form with you - Do not send or fax the form.
• Select at least 5 positions of interest and record the position names and job numbers of each one and bring this information to the interview.
• Bring a friendly and positive attitude - our volunteer Information Officers always do.
• If you need to cancel your appointment, please give us plenty of notification as our Information Officers are volunteers themselves.
• If your appointment is at Surfers Paradise, park in the Bruce Bishop Car Park (behind the Transit Centre), bring your parking ticket along to get it stamped to receive free parking.
