Strengthening communities in the Gold Coast through our support at Volunteering Gold Coast and promotion of sustainable and equitable volunteering.

Communities are strengthened by enabling and encouraging the widespread participation of its citizens.

People’s sense of belonging and worth grow when they are given plenty of choices and chances to make a difference to the health and vitality of their communities.

• Volunteering is the widespread term for these acts of participating, contributing and giving.
• Volunteering comes in different forms and affects the communities where people live and work.
• Volunteering Gold Coast supports volunteers, volunteer managers and co-ordinators and volunteer-involving not-for-profit and community organisations.
• Volunteering Gold Coast is a not-for-profit community organisation and the peak body for volunteering on the Gold Coast that recruits and refers volunteers into positions within other not-for-profit community organisations.

Each year, over 2,000 volunteers are referred into volunteering to over 300 not-for-profit community member organisations throughout the Gold Coast region.
